Temple Admissions Class of 2022

Figured I would make a post about acceptances and merit aid awards! Has anyone heard back yet?

Looking back on last year’s thread, it looks like the first decisions started rolling in on the first week of November.

@junior3 yeah i definitely think that’s the case. Seems odd that they wait so long to start sending out decisions.

Looking forward to hearing admission decisions!

@doyouressays me too! I’m anxious for decisions to be released!!

This week is November. Mine will probably come next week bc they didnt get my sat scores yet I don’t think. I dont think I’ll get in :frowning:

Don’t lose hope! You never know what can happen.

If i applied borderline two weeks ago but my guidance department didn’t sent out my transcripts and recs until today (no matter how much I bugged them to do it earlier) will that affect when I receive my decision? My common app and test scores were sent in mid october but just wanted to know if I’ll have to hear back later because of other parts of application being sent in later

@18williamsa - from what i understand, they will not review your application until everything is submitted and it’s marked as complete. So you are probably looking at a completion date of sometime this week.

Anyone know the order Temple will release acceptances for EA? Will they start to notify stronger applicants first or when applications were received or completed?

@judyvegas Based on last years thread they start on the first of November so it should be any day now. As to whether stronger applicants get accepted first, I’m not sure. I believe it is based more on a first come first served basis but I could be wrong.

Omg was I on drugs when I posted that. That says I posted it October 4th. I meant next week from now

Son just received one sentence acceptance! “You’ve been accepted, that’s great!”

@doyouressays that is awesome! Congrats! Was this via email/ portal or snail mail? Just curious how they first let you know a decision is made?

It was on his portal under the checklist. No email telling him to check it. No financial aid info yet.

@doyouressays what school/major did he apply to and would you mind sharing his stats

@kelly322 - he applied to the sport management program. His gpa was not too good- low 3.0, but SAT 1520 and ACT 35 (not superscored). I think his essay was good. We are OOS and showed demonstrated interest. He loves the school and loves Philly so he is really excited and grateful for the opportunity.

@doyouressays can I ask what date he applied? We are going this Saturday for the fall orientation, would love to know by Saturday, but think its too soon? (same major)

Thank you for the info. Son also applied sport management but have yet to hear. Common app submitted October 9 but GC didn’t submit transcript and recs until late October. 1470 and 3.7, lots of ECs and three
generations of TU legacy. National Merit.

Daughter applied Aug 1 … still nothing. …
