wow, well it sounds like you will be a great asset to Temple if you end up there! my son had USC on his short list as well but ended up not applying as he settled on Temple shortly before his senior year started. so, you are still waiting to see if you are accepted to USC? i imagine Brown and BC could be a long wait but will imagine you will hear from NYU soon. Are you in NYC?
@ctl987 yep, NYC born and raised. So far I haven’t heard much from NYU regarding decision dates but I’m keeping a look out. Was your son accepted to temple?
likes it a lot, they treat the honors kids very well. just from looking at your comments above, honors would love to have you on board and they would help you find similar options in Philly, if you can juggle it with your school work. best of luck with you remaning apps too!

yes, there seem to be a lot, in fact, soem of the course credits you can get as un uppper classmen are for internships, even as a freshman, my son and all the msp kids are getting emails about on campus options(eg working at Temple radio station comes up a lot). i would suggest you contact msp dept directly more to learn about off campus internships and maybe they can get you in touch with some upper classmen who have give you an even more realistic scoop than me.
I got accepted yesterday. Really consider the chance going to Temple next year
GPA:3.85
SAT:1970(1350 Math+CR)
EC:A bunch of sport activities and tutoring
I only learn about my decision through the portal. Do you know how can we learn about our scholarship? I’m really looking forward to receive some sources of financial help from Temple
@GiangNam I think if you sent the FAFSA a wile back you should be able to see your financial letter award soon. You can trying clicking it. It’s on the right side of the portal. Usually the awards are up when you see something like “7 outstanding requirements”
@mtbd1996 I’m intl’ student so I don’t need to submit FAFSA, and I tried a few times and it didn’t work either, so I’m kind of worry since I only get notice of being accepted from the portal not even email or snail mail
Congratulations on being accepted to Temple U. If you have any questions, feel free to send me a message. I can give you my opinions on my school. I’m pretty honest and will tell if a department is strong or weak.

I really like Temple because it will be very cheap for me to attend (I will have no debt at all) and I like Philadelphia. I will probably attend if the schools that I am waiting on all reject me or are too costly to attend (NYU, BC, BU, SCU, USC, Fordham, UNC Chapel Hill, Barnard).
