@My3Daughters Yes, there are some impressive stats on here. Hers are 1090/3.43, so she is going to be proactive and hope for the best. It is her top choice and she likes their elementary ed program bc they do a full year of student teaching. She applied EA mid to late Oct. The test scores won’t come into play for Temple Option, of course, and will be good for a strong writer. Good luck to your daughter!
My daughter also had this message but was then accepted quickly after the message appeared. Then it changed to accepted.
My daughters application went “on hold” yesterday. She’s trying to remain hopeful!
Son applied 10/29. TUportal showed he was accepted 11/26. Email on 11/27 reiterated the TUportal message and said more info would arrive by mail in a few days.
Neither the TUportal nor the email mentioned merit aid. Does that likely mean no merit aid will be forthcoming?
My daughter’s initial acceptance didn’t mention a scholarship, but once the portal updated with a copy of the letter that was mailed, it gave the scholarship info.
@LeahCWoo Can I ask when this happened for her?
The hold message was on the portal early morning of Nov 21st, then was changed by that late afternoon. I assumed they were reviewing her file while the hold message was listed.
@LeahCWoo Would you mind sharing her stats, major and application date? My daughter applied Temple Option on 10/26 and has not heard anything yet. She’s a prospective film major with a 3.7 UW GPA and a handful of honors courses and am wondering if she will be put on hold.
@mberey02 If you wouldn’t mind sharing stats, application date and major? I’m just wondering if my daughter may be put on hold. She applied Temple Option 10/26 and hasn’t heard back.
@cozminok Thanks so much for sharing! And good luck to your daughter. My daughter definitely had to opt for the Temple Option route, but I can’t really figure out how they score those essays comparable to the SAT.She is a much better writer than test taker, and I’m sure her essays reflected good grammar, syntax and punctuation, but I’m not sure how sophisticated or compelling they were. She told me her topics, though, and they were authentically her. I’m a little concerned that the Temple Option is designed to lift up students from undeserved high schools, and that’s not the case here. We are also from NJ – don’t know if that helps or hurts. She’s had a number of out of state acceptances to state universities where clearly they were seeking out of staters, but I don’t know about Temple.
hey all, I was accepted today but don’t see an official letter or anything about scholorships?? Does anyone know how long it will take?
