Temple of Understanding- United Nation Internship 2018

Has anyone attended the UN internship, called Temple of Understanding(TOU)? It is a program for high school students. I want to apply for 2018 but is it an actual UN internship. And is it worth the money($1600) we have to pay?

Hi. Yes it is worth the money, but there is financial aid. Applying for financial aid will not affect your chances of admission. Some interns paid nothing since $1600 posed a financial burden on their families, so do not worry about the cost. It is highly selective, around 20 interns are selected out of an applicant pool of 400+ as of 2017, but is well worth it. You will get the opportunity to interact with incredible individuals and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity. Every day with the exception of a few religious visits/ community service visits, you will get to choose what UN meetings you would like to sit in. You can even speak in a few. You will also meet with representatives from the International Rescue committee and other renowned NGOs and could potentially even interview representatives. This is the one exception to the phrase: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. My friend, this is too good and the good news is it is true. I would highly recommend you apply to make this a part of your summer for 2018.

Thank you so much
