S22 has one year of HS Japanese and is very interested in going to TUJ for his 4 years of college. He has applied to numerous US colleges to major in Japanese, but feels like TUJ would be better since he would be in Japan and make Japanese friends and thus become fluent in the language and culture much more quickly. But he wants a strong academic experience and a good social experience (make good friends, get out and experience Tokyo, etc.). Has anyone attended TUJ or done the full 4 year program? Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I know my response is super late, and you’ve probably already found information about TUJ! My son is a junior and hoping to go to TUJ, or Waseda, or ICU. Hope everything worked out for your son’s dream of studying in Japan!
