Temple University Move off campus? Cheap places?

So, I am currently a freshman student at Temple University, the campus is pretty nice, and the people are relatively friendly. I currently live in Johnson Hall, and although it is not the most horrible thing, I do not want to live here sophomore year. I do not like the idea of sharing a bathroom with a floor full of girls, especially since many of the girls do not flush the toilet, and have tissue laying all over the place.
Secondly, my roommate is not bad, and I quite like her however, we do like the room to be different temperatures, and I am not used to sharing a room with someone. I am not opposed to sharing a room, but I’m not use it.
The micro fridge that we have is pretty small, and I would like to be able to store more stuff in the fridge, but it is just not happening, so my only options of getting a meal is going to the dining hall or eating cup ramen. . .kind of hard sometimes when im up pretty late doing homework and I have to resort to eating cup ramen.
I would like to have a kitchen, with a fridge stove and sink. I don’t mind living with other people, although having my own room would be nice. I can’t really afford over $4,000, especially if its per semester, so a cheaper place would be great.
Does not have to be on campus, but I would like it to be close, at least to either walk, ride a bike, or a relatively short bus ride.

I’ve been looking up apartments for hours now, but I don’t really know how reliable they are for the most part, so i would like to get other peoples opinions.

Apartments are pretty reliable especially close to campus. Depends on your price range and where exactly you want to live. Going further off-campus is also a slight safety issue if you travel to the TECH late at night. I highly advise you visit the group pages on facebook and get opinions from upper classmen that are seeking roommates for next year(usually each person has their own room) and they also give opinions on the various rental companies/entities.
