<p>No, it's not dangerous at all. Unless you're an idiot. Really nice campus. Excellent security. I know a lot about it, so lemme know what else.</p>
<p>Uh, yeah, its pretty dangerous. Its North Philly, are you kidding me? The fact that you say its not dangerous is a slap in the face to all the Temple students who have tons of street cred. </p>

<p>I go there every time I'm off from school and Temple's not, plus regularly over the summer, and stay at a house off of its campus after concerts and stuff. Most of my high school friends go to either Temple, Philly Arts, or Drexel (aside from PSU). They'll tell you its pretty dangerous too, though some of their stories are definitely exaggerated.</p>
<p>Overall, the school is decent, I'd say. The area is probably the least appealing part about it in that it's not exactly in the best part of Philadelphia. Academically, it's definitely not Harvard, but it's none-too-shabby. The actuarial science program at Temple in particular is supposed to be pretty good (my former boyfriend almost went to Temple for that but was turned off by the surrounding area).</p>
<p>I went to Temple (as in classes). Yes, it is dangerous if you go far off campus. The general campus area is more than safe. I know a ton of people who go there and my father is an alum and executive in residence at Temple. </p>
<p>You're potentially scaring people off from applying which is unfair. Yes, if you wander around alone in the middle of the night 10 blocks in a certain direction you'll have trouble. No one's jumping people around campus or anything.</p>
<p>Loslobos, I'm probably skewed because I usually visit the fraternity row, which is a block of houses off-campus. Still, tons of students live there, and its rather unsafe. For what its worth, Temple's probably the funnest school I've been to.</p>
<p>No offense, but the location of the frat houses has nothing to do with Temple being unsafe. As I said, there are parts of the area that are (although except for something like the frat houses you wouldnt necessarily be there), but the campus and immediate area are completely safe.</p>
<p>And yes, Temple does throw sick parties. I know Penn kids come over a lot.</p>
