Temporary aid?

I need some help from financial aid people. I am supposed to be getting a nice refund from financial aid 10 days before classes begin (so around the 22nd). However, we only get a refund if our financial aid is actual in our accounts and not "anticipated aid". Right now, all of my state and federal aid are marked as "Temporary" (Pell grant, ACG, a few small Stafford loans, and the Michigan Promise Scholarship).

I was just wondering if anyone knew when those would actually go through. If they don't before school, then I can't afford to buy books because we don't charge our books to our financial aid (which I presume is why they give us the refund).

I know that MPS is temporary because Michigan doesn't know if they're even going to HAVE it this year (which is beyond frustrating), but what about the rest of the federal stuff?

Sorry, just a little nervous.

Thanks!

If Kelsmom or NikkiL does not chime in with an answer on this thread, I would recommend that you send either of a PM. Both are FA officers and Kelsmom is very familiar with FA in Michigan.
