if i am reading this correctly, it looks like i was 1869. a little lower than yours, but certainly not too far ahead. i'm shocked i heard so fast. in fact, when i got the initial "check minerva" email, i was guessing i'd be stuck somewhere on the bottom of my list, since i read that they were placing temps according to lottery numbers. so, there is hope!

thats odd...i'm 1827 and i haven't heard yet.

hey guys

my boyfriend was a temp but he found out yesterday that he now has a single in douglas. He had been moved up to the top of the waiting list, but that does mean that the rooms are starting to move. Where did everyone find their lottery numbers, id really like to know mine but im not sure where to look on the letter.

oh nevermin di found it...i was 1430

what number was your boyfriend? (sorry, I'm becoming totally paranoid about this..) and i was totally dyslexic last time..i'm 1914 and still waiting..

mcgillgall88 and amc999: how did u guys find out about ur permanent rooms? online or by post?

i found out through email. it was one of those "your residence status has changed" emails that refer you to minerva.

i actually dont know his number (neither does he actually), as he was just told over the phone and by his coach that it was high, and then he was bumped up the top of the list for other reasons. Anyways i beleive he found out online where hes been placed...just like mcgillgal88 lol

is your lottery number the "Room Reservation Priority Number" mentioned on the letter they send you by post? coz, if so, mine is 1742!!!

how come i havent heard yet? mcgillgal88, are you sure urs is 1869?

I remember finding out last year by calling the..student housing office, i think. they make your roommates about 2 weeks before you guys move in. congrats on getting new rez, you're going to LOVE it! the food is 10x better than any of the other rez's and much more flexible. this is, of course, a biased opinion. hope that you get a good roommate though, because you're going to be stuck in the same room as him/her for 8 months.

sorry for taking so long to respond to you, match. yeah, i'm sure that 1869 was my lottery number - it's my "room priority number" on my housing papers. i hope at this point you have found a permanent room. otherwise, i would call and find out beforehand.
