Hello everyone. I just have a few questions. Here’s the back story…

I am a senior in high school right now and taking my first architecture class. I am in love. I think that I found what I want to do in life. But next year I am going to a school that doesn’t offer architecture for undergrad or grad. I really like every aspect of that school and I really don’t want to go anywhere else.

So here are my preguntas:

Can I enroll in a M.Arch program even if I didn’t major in it during my undergrad?

If so, what majors should I be looking at/classes I should take?

Are there any decent M.Arch programs in the Nebraska/Iowa area?

Is it too late? Have I missed my one chance?

Yes, of course, but it might take you longer to complete your grad degree (compared to someone who has an undergrad in architecture).

Whatever else makes you passionate. Have fun. You can major fine arts, or structural engineering, physics, math... I've heard of English majors getting in. You can look at your undergrad major as a back-up in case you ever change your mind. Many people take a break between undergrad and grad, so something that will allow you to obtain a job, and pay off some loans/save some money is also a great option.

Not sure about that, none of the schools I researched were in that area.

Too late for what, to apply to a school that has architecture as an undergrad major?

Find a major at your college that you enjoy and excel at it. The begin to check out MArch programs and determine what undergrad coursework you can take now that will help you.
