Have you heard anything good or bad about this school?
I have been presented with this school recently, and it looks perfect for me. My GPA will not surpass a 2.9, sadly. But for this school- that's okay. And they can let me go abroad.

Any comments about this school would be appreciated.

Be aware that it’s an HBCU.

Tennessee State is not particularly popular in TN; ETSU and MTSU are the preferred back-ups to UT-Knoxville. It’s one of the better schools in TN, for whatever that’s worth, and Nashville is a very cool city.

Do you happen to know why it isn’t as popular as MTSU, ETSU or any others?

I love the campus of TSU, the academics ,and most importantly the Nashville location. I would love to be able to attend TSU,but the only problem is that I am white. I would feel like i was an intruder. The atmosphere of the campus reflects it’s HBCU history, and the school offers nothing to change that.
~HBCU so many non-African American students don’t feel welcomed there ,and many activities there are for African Americans only.
~Some employers look down on TSU degrees
~ Lack of effort to offer more multicultural atmosphere at school
~Controversy regarding accreditation recently.
~ Many whites get minority scholarships, which makes many students mad.

Again I love TSU,but you must keep in mind that everything there will be centered around the black culture.

I wish you luck in what everyschool you choose.
