It will help you only if you're good enough to play for the Ivys - no easy task. Check their players on their websites - a bio in usually included so you can judge where you fit. If you're not skilled enough - tennis will be considered just an EC. And not a big deal since many smart kids play tennis.</p>
<p>espn - I don't think there's a direct relationship between ranking and what school you can get into. Although it seems that those who are ranked less than 20 in a competitive section (like Florida or Middle states) will get some attention. How well you do at your high school counts for a little - but it's hard to judge your individual talent since high schools are vastly different in talent - tops in one league is equivalent to bottom in another. Play some section tournaments this summer to get an idea of where you fall.</p>
