Tepper Class Registration

So they sent us a letter that basically says these are the classes you're going to take and you will meet with your advisor in August. Are we supposed to do anything? How do we choose which bredth electives we want to take? Orientation week?

What is your major? If you're architecture, you have no choices first semester.

Edit: I'm dumb, the title of the thread was Tepper. I don't know.

On the sheet they sent us about the calc placement test is says, "In addition you will be placed in one or two breadth electives." I hope we get to switch during orientation week...I don't want to be stuck in physics!!

I hope we can switch during orientation. Modern Biology is definitely not something I would have chosen.

i just looked at my schedule again and they added "What Philosophy Is".

..philosophy?! w t f !

I hear that What Philosophy Is is a very good class; several of my friends took it last semester. It probably satisfies some sort of breadth requirement for you.

I emailed my advisor because my schedule says I'm in chem and I have already fulfilled my science bredth elective with physics (and I hate chem lol) and she replied back saying we get to change/add our input during orientation week.

I emailed my advisor about a month ago and she still hasn't email me back. Isn't that great?

Right now they only have three courses for me: Intro to Business / Interpretation & Argument / Comp Skills. How do I add more? I don't want to wait till orientation and not be able to get my top choices.

Well, if you're an upperclassman, you add classes by going to the HUB (<a href="http://www.cmu.edu/hub%5B/url%5D">http://www.cmu.edu/hub</a>) and clicking on registration.

Nice hometown, JiggleLikeJello.

I checked my schedule today, and it changed. Instead of having Modern Biology as my Breadth Elective, I now have Intro to Intelligence. Also, I am now in 21-256 for Math instead of 21-120 (I am assuming this is based on the Calc Placement test results). They also added a course to my schedule: Principles of Economics. Here is my new schedule:

If anyone has any info on the professors and/or courses, I would be interested in hearing.

Klepper is good but hard, Jordan is fairly thorough.

sorry to go off topic, but wat abt the following professors:

pattis (15-200),
brandon (21-121),
mackey (21-127),
schumacher (33-131) and
caruso (76-101)???

everyone loves mackey (on pi day he got pied, though :) ), pattis has very thorough lecture notes and well-designed assignments (you'll know what I mean after you take 211 where they come up with new, random things every semester)
