So, I'm 99.9% sure that I will be a Tepper '14 student next year. I believe wholeheartedly that Tepper is a top15 undergrad business program, if not top10.

I have a bunch of other friends going into business however, and whenever we get into lighthearted arguments, Tepper always seems to lose against Stern, Cornell, Texas, etc..(not mentioning Sloan and Wharton because no one can deny they're on a whole different standard).

I'd just like some information/statistics showing that Tepper is just as competitive as the big names people have been throwing at me...not having cold feet, I just want to be able to go on the offensive for once =p

Tepper is definitely a top 10 undergrad business school. Of the schools you mentioned, I would say it is ahead of Cornell.

I don’t know what your friends are using to tell you it isn’t even top 15, but I’m guessing it’s businessweek’s garbage list. I usually recommend people start their search with US News because it’s rankings actually show correlation to nice things like job placement statistics:
[Best Undergraduate Business Programs - Best Colleges - Education - US News and World Report](http://colleges.usnews.rankingsandreviews.com/best-colleges/spec-business)

Haha yeah, I was somewhat disheartened that BW knocked my precious Tepper off the top 20.

Ah well, I feel a little better looking at the USNWR rankings, especially in the Finance specialty.

What does anyone know about the Tepper “back room” stereotype? I don’t know about others, but I’m looking to claw my way up as far as I can and I sure as hell don’t wont sit back behind the scenes.

Businessweek’s rankings are a joke. They mix them up so much every year in order to sell magazines, that they are completely unreliable. No school changes that quickly!

AFAIK there is no “back room” or “back office” stereotype associated with Tepper.
