Is there a difference between a "term" and a "semester"?

Bump…

Term often refers to quarters. Some schools operate on 4 quarters a year: fall, winter, spring and summer.

If my school operates on semesters (Fall semester and spring semester), how should I fill out the USC application? It asks for a course taken has has three drop down lists for 1st term, 2nd term, and 3rd term. Help from anyone experienced with the application would be nice!

bump 1

bump again x_x Sorry but I need an answer quickly!

There can also be a summer semester :D

What I would do is to just use first term and second term (and ignore third term.) They’ll know your school operates on semesters because your transcript will say so. But you might want to call USC and ask, to ease your mind.

I guess you were right Oregon Mom!

Thanks!
