Yes, there are plenty of schools which offer the terminal CS Masters kind of degree. My university, Illinois Tech, has the [url="<a href=“http://science.iit.edu/programs/graduate/master-computer-science-mcs%22%5DMCS%5B/url”>http://science.iit.edu/programs/graduate/master-computer-science-mcs"]MCS[/url] degree for example and University of Chicago has the [url="<a href=“https://csmasters.uchicago.edu/%22%5DMPCS%5B/url”>https://csmasters.uchicago.edu/"]MPCS[/url] program (even though you specifically said not Chicago). Computer Science departments all over the country have responded to the high demand for applicants who have degrees outside CS wanting to transition into the profession of software engineering. To make up for the lack of CS background, they usually have a software “boot camp” which prepared the students for the graduate courses.
Another alternative which might appeal to you could be a Data Science program. There are lots of them being established recently.
Is your goal to get a more research oriented Masters instead? That is what it appears form the initial part of your post. That might be a bit more challenging without the more theoretical CS background that students get with a BS in CS. However, you might be able to volunteer to get involved in research while you are in the terminal program and possible work your way into a more research oriented degree in time.
