what if u said u were going to take an ap class but decided against it?

^ then you definitely have to let them know about it, otherwise it's pretty good grounds for them to rescind your admission

haha i meant AP EXAM, not class

then you have nothing to worry about. you don't even have to let them know about it. the only thing AP tests are used for is college credit.

what if it's 3? I said I would take chem, psych and stats AP Exams but chose to do none of those...anyway, im sure its gonna result in the same answer: doesnt matter

yup...doesn't matter

i would really take them though. they would get you out of A LOT of GEs

i havent taken the classes....

these are my ap scores, can u tell me how much GE i get?

ap eng comp - 5
ap env - 3
ap euro - 3
ap us - 5

this year, my most likely score:

ap econ - 5
ap gov us - 5
ap calc bc - 3
ap bio - 3
ap french - 3
ap lit - 4

http://www.ucsd.edu/catalog/0506/front/APCredit.html might help you.

well that would all depend on what college you're in

Roosevelt...hehe

***! I look at Roosevelt and they're all "Elective Units". I look at other colleges like Muir and it's like "exempts from MATH 20"! Other colleges actually EXCUSES them from ACTUAL CLASSES!! UGH!!

I'm in roosevelt as well and because of AP tests i was able to get out of the science, language, and a quarter of regional specialization from the very start! and i'm already done with my math requirements. all i have left to do is MMW and two courses of regional specialization and i'm not even done with my first year here!

ugh then why does it say elective credit?

for jakesrevenge:

You must have read something wrong... And I have far too many UCSD sources for my own good (I am not an ERC student and I know this document exists...)

for ap exams that i decided not to take, u guys SURE i dont have to tell them? cuz on UCLA's website, it says:

Applicants - please keep us up to date

If any of the information you gave us on your application changes, please notify us as soon as possible.

"ANY OF THE INFORMATION"

i'm sure you don't have to tell them
