From the e-mail I got from UMD:

"P.S. We've created TerpNet, a social networking site just for you!
Log-in to create your profile, post photos, join discussions and meet other newly admitted Maryland students."

The word "Log-in" is a hyperlink. However, when I click on it it asks me to sign in. I tried my email and password that I've been using for admissions related stuff. That doesn't work, though. Anyone know how this works?

^ Same here. We might have to wait for them to send out a second e-mail detailing how to actually access it.

You don’t have to wait, create an account here:
[Sign Up](Create your own social network with the best community website builder - NING)

Use the same e-mail you used for UMD, then click the link from the e-mail and login with the new account you just created, it should work.

Ok, I signed up and logged in but this is what I got:

We’re sorry, but the administrator has chosen to require an invitation to join University of Maryland. If you have an invitation, click the link in the email to join.

I got the same thing, and i thought that email was the link to join

after the acceptance email I got a second one from “Testudo” asking me to sign up, so I did it through that link. it says my account has to be approved though

same exact thing for me! (didn’t get a 2nd e-mail, though)

is this happening to everybody or a lot of people or a few or what?

I didn’t get a second email.

Got the invitation today. Check your email.

Try logging in. I logged in several days before I got the email saying I was “approved” or whatever.

If you do get in, friend me! (lol, I feel like this is facebook). Stephanie I.
