TERRIBLE grades- will ANY uni accept me?

@fallenchemist I’d love to find a school with a low student to professor ratio in an urban setting. I prefer staying in the mid atlantic states, so anywhere in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania are ideal. I decided not to stray too far away from home. It’s better to be a 2 hour drive away than a 6 hour plane ride.

I’ve also spent a couple weeks over the summer volunteering at a hospital to strengthen my application

Here are some suggestions, then: York, Juniata, Pace, Drew, Rider, Centenary, Arcadia, St. Joseph’s, Iona, Manhattan, Quinnipiac, Moravian, Duquesne, Adelphi, Hofstra . . .

From your mentioning CSU-LA, I thought you must be in-state for California. No?

I agree with the others – it’s a sad commentary on what college craziness has done to our teens that someone with a B/B+ average feels that they’re a terrible student. I get that your math grades have not been that good. Fine, you’re not a math person. But your English and history grades must have been good in order to pull your average up to a 3.4. Don’t be so hard on yourself!

So, it’s just a matter of finding out where students with your stats go. I’ll let others who are more familiar with New Jersey/New York/PA schools make the actual recommendations, but rest assured, you will go to a school where you will fit in and be successful.

@dustypig , no I’m originally from the east coast but I do have family in the SoCal area, so I thought it might be nice to go there to be close to them!
And I don’t mean to gloat, but I really hope my strong social sciences & english grades help my chances out!
