Terrible Writing MC

<p>I honestly did think any of the answers worked, so I randomly chose (E). The answer is (A). Why?</p>

<p>The underline part is supposed to modify cost, so it’s correct. All the other ones are wrong</p>

<p>E would make it a comma splice.
There’s nothing wrong with A so that’s the right answer.</p>

<p>Eliminate excess words to make it easier:</p>

<p>She was hurt by its cost, which became the subject of controversy.</p>

<p>Then it’s obviously A.</p>

<p>Just practice and it will come to you. I went from scoring in the low 600s on writing MCs + 11 or 12 essay to mid to high 700s.</p>
