recently went UGA and I loved it! I want to major in business and nothing else. For the terry school of business you have to apply. I was wondering how hard it is to get in. I don't want to go to UGA and get screwed over because I didn't get accepted into the Terry business school

Are you a potential undergraduate freshmen? If so, you won’t be applying officially to the business school until after you have completed your undergraduate courses. You would be listed under ‘pre-business’ along with a special concentration if that’s what you apply under.
If you are a graduate student, Terry is VERY hard to get into. Along with medical fields, UGA is widely known for its respected business college. If you are applying, have an excellent GRE and excellent undergrad transcript.

A potential undergrad. Yes I know I can’t go to Terry until I’m a junior and I apply sophomore year. I was wondering how hard it is to get in as an undergrad

Technically, admission to UGA isn’t contingent upon the difficulty of the major you choose to apply under. Of course, some people have noticed slight trends that people who apply under less popular major get accepted with less worthy credentials than someone applying to a more popular major. Whether you choose to believe in these trends is entirely up to you.
Generally, UGA is a fairly competitive school to get into anyways and the Terry College of Business is very popular so, just take this into consideration when applying.

I was accepted to Terry this semester and I’ll say very few people I knew were denied entry. If you really have a passion for business and you make it past the killer ACCT 2101 class, you will make it in. You get to choose your top 3 majors within Terry and if you weren’t accepted to your top major at the time, you could always reapply the second semester. It is pretty uncommon to be rejected, though, because most students who do poorly in the first few classes choose not to apply. Just apply yourself and you’ll be fine. Shoot me an email if you wanna talk more about it! amandaco@uga.edu

Thank you so much I found this really helpful. Applying myself should not be a problem
