PR 11

Test 3, Section 4, problem 8

I don't get the explanation, mostly because I don't get these type of problems.

Can someone explain please?

:-) Thanks in advance

Listing the question itself would help a little..................

There are four boys and three girls, so if no boys can sit next to each other, that means there must be three girls between each boy. --> B G B G B G B. There are three positions for the girls, that means there are 6 possible arrangements. (3 21) There are four positions for the boys, that means there are 24 possible arrangments. (4321). Because the arrangement of boys and girls are related you have to multiply (as oppose to adding) each resulting probablity. 624 =144...I don't know if that made sense...i'm tried my best to explain.

Ok...I totally get YOUR explanation, not PR 11.

Thanks.
