Hi, everyone! I understand that there are other students out there who also suffer from test anxiety and general anxiety. With that in mind, what test-taking tips and tricks do you all have for those with test anxiety??
I used to have test anxiety, but now I just remember that there’s not only so much more to college admissions than standardized tests, but there’s also so much more to life.
I know that sounds so cliche, but seriously, that’s what I think. “So what if I don’t do as well on the SAT as I hope? Who cares if I don’t get a 5 on this AP exam? It literally won’t matter in 5 years.”
Now, this definitely should not be an excuse to just blow off your exams. If you have the opportunity to do as well as you can, you should NOT waste that opportunity. But just keep in mind if “the best you can” isn’t deemed good enough by colleges, who cares? Tests aren’t the be all and end all of college admissions and doing bad on the ACT is definitely not the end of the world.
@Darthjt That’s the kind of attitude that I’ve been going for! I will definitely keep everything that you’ve mentioned in mind. Thanks so much for your input and advice.
@raincact No problem; good luck with everything!
You need to pray more. Find yourself a good seat at the back. Focus!!! This is what you need to transition to college, it’s merely a stepping stone! Focus and be determined! It’s your body!
