Test dates

I've always heard that the test dates of October and November are bad test dates because it decreases your percentile if you are not a senior since many seniors take the sats and sat subjects during this time right before they go to college. Is this true? Is it better to take the tests in June? btw, I'm not asking about the difficulty of the tests but only the percentile since the percentile shows how you fared against college-boud seniors.

I also heard of this blatant truth and was like speechless at that time, I dont know whether it is wrong, im afraid cuz im a foreigner and will take sat 1 and 2 this october and november :-ss
Anybody comments?

There are no “bad test dates”. Choose the test date that fits your schedule best.

Percentiles are calculated by comparing your score with the previous year’s graduating class, not those with whom you are taking the test. So in October, your score will be compared to scores of the class of 2011 to produce a percentile.
