Test Dilemma

Hey everyone,

My SAT score is 2270 (740 CR 740 M 790 W) and my ACT score is 33. This was my breakdown for the ACT:

Composite - 33
Math - 34
English - 34
Reading - 33
Science -29
Writing - 12

Would you still recommend sending my ACT score, even though the conversion is lower than my SAT, and my science score is signficantly lower than the other sections? Basically what I'm asking is, will colleges put more preference on math and reading over science, or will they view science as equally significant? Thank you.

Actually for ACT many colleges consider the math and English sections to be the more important. To give two extreme examples, GTech and Rose-Hulman, two engineering schools, use only the math and English sections of ACT to determine admission and ignore composite reading and science.

Your SAT is high, your ACT is high. I would likely just send both in which case the college would choose to use that one it considers better for you to determine admission.

Sounds good, thanks drusba!
