So I applied to Hamilton College, I submitted 1 ap score and subject test but was planning on submitting my act writing score and act science scores. I just want those two scores to be sent, but on the common app it would not let me send my application with out reporting my entire act score. There was no option on the application to say that you are applying test flexible, so I was wondering how do I send partial scores?
Yes, you will need an AP score in Computer Science, Chemistry, Economics, Calculus, Physics, or Statistics or an SAT subject test score in Math, Chemistry, or Physics or an SAT I Math result.
Though it wouldn’t seem likely to apply to you based on what you’ve indicated, certain IB exams would also be acceptable as quantitative submissions.
Regarding your question specifically, have you considered self-reporting your scores to Hamilton at this stage so as to better represent your intended profile?
Hello, perhaps I wasn’t clear I have already sent in my application. My question is in regards to how to send in scores. On the common app I could not report part of my score for the ACT nor the SAT. I would have to submit the entire score. Hamilton College is test flexible, so I only wanted to send them 1 part of my SAT, but I was not allowed to submit my application unless I filled out my entire sat score. Hamilton College did not offer in the application a place to say whether you are applying test flexible and which score to utilize. So my question is will there be an opportunity when I receive my portal to give them a self reported section of the SAT or do I have to submit my entire SAT?
We were diverted somewhat by your mention of your ACT science score, but your main question really has been quite clear. Since you’d like to fractionate your score submissions, you may be working within a general system that’s not properly designed for your intent. Nonetheless, your intent aligns with Hamilton’s policies. If the visible portal does not create an acceptable option for you, then I’d recommend you direct your question to a Hamilton representative.
