One of the colleges my daughter is applying to is Test Optional. I am wondering how this may help or hurt her admission chances.
Her GPA is 3.5, challenging courses, good extra-curriculars and references. Her SAT scores are not great but not terribly bad either - R 470, M 540, W 500 - and we will get results from last SAT next week.
In this case would you send or not send scores to a Test Optional college?

I would not send. It depends on where a 3.5 lands her in the class rank, but that SAT is right at the 50%ile for students taking the SAT. That’s not very competitive for many schools.
