Help! My son clicked that he would report his scores to several schools that are test optional, and now is being advised by his guidance counsellor he probably shouldn't... can he change his mind??? :( Thanks!

Most test optional schools have a question asking the applicant which scores they want the school to consider. If his apps state he wants a school to consider, for example, his SATs and now he is electing not to send those scores, it’s a good idea to contact the school directly to clarify that he does not want the college to consider those scores and will not be sending them. This can be done by email, and he can use this opportunity (and every contact with a school) to also say something in his own voice that makes him an appealing applicant (something very short).
