Hey guys,

So I just submitted my test scores and realized that Collegeboard delays the sending of those scores by some time. Now, Pomona says it wants test scores by January 2. Am I screwed? Should I just call CB on Monday and have those 'pending' scores sent to some other college instead? I really want to apply to Pomona, but I feel like they'll use "late scores" as grounds for automatic rejection, given how competitive they are. :(

“These deadlines require receipt of: the Common Application; application fee or waiver, the required Pomona College Writing Supplement; the School Report; the School Report Supplement (only required for some students); teacher recommendations; official transcripts; entrance examination results (SAT Reasoning Test and SAT Subject Tests or the ACT); as well any of the optional forms you choose to submit.”

:(

If the RD process is like the ED process then it will take Pomona a week or two to process everything and then they will notify you if anything is missing. If you are missing something they will give you a few days to send them in and I don’t believe it would impact your admissions decision. I would still apply if you want to.

“then they will notify you if anything is missing” Really? That sounds great! It’s just that the “These deadlines require receipt of” sounds pretty serious. Last year, I read that a girl applied to Carleton on February 15, and Carleton said that’s fine, because you know, Carleton looks at ED 2 apps first.

But Carleton admissions is no Pomona admissions. lol

I think you’ll be fine. Honestly, they don’t even look at the applications until a week after. They want to read your application, so they’re not going to automatically trash your’s.

you’re fine. They realize that some scores take longer since college board charges so much for rush delivery
