<p>I was wondering of anyone could comment on these two situations for the univ. of michigan</p>

<p>Case 1:
Amazing extracurriculars
33 ACT
3.3 GPA
Instate
Low income</p>

<p>Case 2
Low/mediocre extracurriculars
1800 SAT
4.0 GPA
Instate</p>

<p>These are two of my friends. I did well on my testing so they asked me for advice, but frankly i’m not sure and some help would be much appreciated.
(Assume thier target score is reached)</p>

<li><p>Should the student in case #1 retake her ACT score to get a 34-35?</p></li>
<li><p>Should the student in case #2 retake his SAT score to get a 2000? Would he need to get over a 2100 for mich given his 4.0 GPA?</p></li>

<p>Higher test scores are better. Retake if you haven't taken them more then 3 times and think there is room for improvement.</p>
