Test Scores are in...chances?

School: Public
Ethnicity: Asian (Indian)
Major: Finance/Accounting</p>

<p>GPA (Worst part): 3.66 UW, 4.18 W (3 Bs freshman year, 1 B sophomore year, 3 Bs this year)
SAT: 1490/2220 (800 M, 690 CR, 730 W)
Will take SAT IIs in Bio and Math II and APs in Bio and US Hist</p>

<p>ECs:

  1. Chess Club (9-12) - secretary this year, hopefully president next year
  2. Red Cross Club (10-12)
  3. Economics Club (10-12) - secretary
  4. FBLA (11-12) - hopefully an officer next year
  5. JSA (11-12) - hopefully an officer next year
  6. Indian Classical Music (9-12)
  7. School Orchestra; not sure if this is an EC (9-12)
  8. Volunteering at Library (9-12), Volunteering at Hospital (10-12)
  9. Work as a Tutor (10-12)
  10. Will do a business-related internship this summer</p>

<p>Do you have any idea what your rank is within your class?</p>

<p>From this information, I can't see BC passing on you, although it does happen to a few students who post on this forum</p>

<p>Miragemage means that he/she cannot see BC rejecting you. I agree, I think you have strong shot at getting into CSOM. Your GPA is really not even an issue, you have all the extracirriculars, minority status, public school, SATs, etc. As long as you didn't put your foot in your mouth with the essay, you should be good.</p>

<p>That is precisely what I meant, thanks for clearing that up BC2012guy. What I'm basically saying is that I think you have a 99.9% chance of getting in, granted your essays and recommendations are good. However, if you've been on these forums for as long as I have, you see students with similar statistics get waitlisted or even rejected. There is always that possibility, but I dont really see it happening in your case.</p>
