I just found out my scores for the ACT that I took at the beginning of June. I ended up with: composite: 31, english: 27, math: 30, reading: 35, science: 31. On the SAT I have a 2020 with M690, V700, W630. My question to you is, should I take the ACT again and try for a better score or take the SAT again? I’ve looked at conversion charts and a 31 is about a 1380 on the SAT which is 10 pts. lower than what I have; also I took the ACT with no studying at all for this first time and I’ve taken the SAT twice. However, the thing is that some of my ACT scores are at or below the Academy mean while all of my SAT scores are well above the mean. Any advice?

I got a 31 too. My SAT was also 1380. I forget my specific scores but I got a 36 in Reading so I think I'll take it again and try to piece together good scores from each section.

Those scores are already pretty good. I think it would only be beneficial to take either test or both again to see if you can do better. Averages are only averages, your scores are about the same in areas and higher in others compared to mine. The ACT did seem easier to me as well, some people do better on the SAT some do better on the ACT. My advice would be to retake the one you were most comfortable with, and if you can take both again. You already have good scores, so retaking it will probably less stressful, and if you get any higher scores, they will take it over any lower ones for that area. Retaking them cannot hurt you, only help :) good luck

If you are worried, ligitly, that your academics/leadership/sports are not on par, then MAYBE, but I wouldn't worry much. I took the SAT twice, that's it.
