it said that if the median is in the 35-44 age range and there are x ppl in 15-24, y in 25-34, z in 35-44, which must be true:

I. x<y
II. y<z
III. avg of the ages must be in 35-44 range

the answer was II only

That must have been experimental, because I don't remember that question at all...

can we get back to the gardners question now...everyone who hasnt spoken their mind abt it post what they put (if u remember)

Albert, guaranteed, the answer was A

And yea, that was probably experimental, because I don't remember that. I do remember getting a II only though for a question.

nope, not experimental sir

I dont rememember that math question either...

the math? ya don't remember dat

do u guys think 2 wrong for our CR will be an 800, cuz i have been hearing that 2 wrong on all of the CRs (on actual tests given since march) have been 800s...??

albert, 2 wrong will be very close to 800 if not 800. if you missed to, i wouldn't sweat it -- you prob. got an 800 & at least a 780+. There is a 30 or so point drop-off if you missed a 3rd one tho.

i love how the college board is so generous!

I did not have math experimental and I remember remembering (hah) that I had only two of the "I only, II only, I and II only, I, II, and III, etc." questions, and that I got II only for both. I don't think I had an age range question though. The II only's ring a bell with anyone?

i think one was like "if x is a multiple of three and y is a multiple of three, then y-x is also a multiple of three...II if x is a multiple o three and y is not a multiple o fthree then y-x is also a multiple of three and III if x is not a multiple of three and y is nota multiple of three then y-x is a multiple of three" and it was which of the following must be true

I see there is much debate about the word "vanguard" in the California question. For me, "vanguard" was IN THE QUESTION and "originate" was an answer choice. I put originate because I distinctly remember myself thinking it was such an easy question and none of the other answer choices fit.

This is me thinking: "okay what does vanguard mean, does it mean where everything started? alright then it must be originate."

I am 100% sure of this.

yup, it was originiate

notfade, isn't one correct?

i mean for two you can counter with 13 - 9

for three you can do 21 - 7

so only number one is right 9 - 3 = 6 27 - 9 = 21

Vehement, was that math question experimental? I dont remember it...

you had verbal experimental?

I had a writing experimental.

ya then maybe...i kinda forgot..lol

phew, i'm relieved that section 5 was the math experimental. i definitely found it much harder than the other math sections. btw, bump in case ne one has any remaining questions on this version of the SAT.
