Testing at Orientation

What tests do I need to/are required to take during summer orientation? I am going to take the math for sure and won't need texas government because my dual credit class covers that. But what about chemistry and a language? I am pretty sure I won't place out of chemistry and if I do the second course might be too hard. Spanish I definitely don't want to place out of. By the way, I am going into the business school but might transfer later. Do different majors require different tests??

I think the only required one is math if you are going into engineering, but you can take any of em if you think you can place out of it

I'm confused... I got a letter from LAH telling me to take Math 1. Will I still have to if I've already taken Math II and Calc AB?

No. That was a form letter. If you've taken the Math II SAT II and done all right on it, you definitely don't need to take Math I at Orientation.

Lots of the LAH kids took AP Gov and scored well on the AP test and then needed to take the special "Texas Gov" supplement needed to get credit for the required first semester UT Gov course. That is a quick test and can be easily be taken at orientation. If you search back in this forum, you can find some notes on what will be on the test. We think that if you got a 4 or a 5 on the AP Gov test you don't need to do exceptionally well on the Texas Gov test to get the credit.
