Testing Conditions affecting your grades??

For an English project, I decided to explore the opinions of students and how much of an effect testing room conditions have on test taking as well as their grades. I always hear that the size of desks in testing rooms is annoying and even other factors such as lighting and noise. Anyone agree or disagree? Or what really effects how test taking goes for you aside from homework and studying (ie professor teaching, etc)

How easy the exam is / how familiar the material is compared to what was done in class and on HW

Well in terms of conditions I scored much better on the SAT when i took it in an individual classroom with around 20 other kids, than when i took it in a gym with everyone in the school. Not to mention it was snowing and the gym doors were open. My hand was shaking trying to write the essay, it was ridiculous.
