testing dilemma??

Ok so here's the situation i planned on retaking the SAT I in June along with the ACT. I took it once and go 2060. I'm looking for at least 2200. Then i realized that i had to also take SAT II's. Should i take the ACT and SAT I in june and then the SAT II's in october (note, im applying ED), or should i just take SAT II's and the ACT in June and be done with my testing (note i've never taken an actual ACT test, this would be the first) Which would you do?

I would take an ACT practice test now to see how you do, to get a feel for how much prep you might need. Taking the ACT a week after the SAT isn't going to be much fun regardless, but if you can figure out now where you stand, that'll help you decide. There's a free ACT test on review.com.

I would definitely NOT take a bunch of SAT IIs on June 2 and then follow that with the ACT on June 9. You won't have enough time to prep adequately for any of it and your scores will show it.

so should i just leave thte SAT II's for october?

If you're planning to do the ACT in June, I would, yes.

do you know if i will get the scores in time to mail away application for ED?

If you are taking the SAT II's in subjects you are finishing up in May or June, you want to take the SAT II's in June while those topics are fresh on your mind. If you are taking SAT II's in subjects you are continuing to study, it is okay to take them in October.

I'm going to take Math IIc and either Physics or Biology or both; all of which i'm well versed in but i'm finish all of those classes so the only class i'll still be doing in June is Calc. But i think what im going to do is go ahead and take the SAT II's in October because i get more study time and they'll be back in time for ED, but thanks JJG

Like another poster mentioned, take SAT IIs in your regular classes (classes you are taking this semester) in June, when they end. Take SAT IIs in AP classes in May, right before the AP exam, when you are studying already in that subject.

I really think the SAT IIs and SAT Is should be on seperate days every month. I have the same problem: I need to take the SAT Is in June (I'm applying to some schools at the end of August and will have my decisions even before the September results come out), but I also wanted to take my SAT II in Lit then. I called today and cancelled my SAT II.

Edited: Oops, sorry, I missed your post right above mine!
