I was wondering what everyones opinions are on testing out of Physics and Calculus for Pre-Med reqs with AP credit earned in high school. I know generally med schools discourage or do not accept this but some (especially ones here in Texas) will accept it.

I was thinking maybe they prefer you don't test out of chem or bio but with physics and especially calculus there is more room since they are not as central to medicine.

Some schools will tell you that you cannot use AP's for their prerequisites; in that case, if you try to use the AP they'll look at your application, see that you haven't filled out your prereqs, and that will be a major strike against you.

If you've already researched it and know that you're only applying to schools that accept AP credit, and if you feel like you learned it well enough to take the material on the MCAT, then you're good to go and best of luck to you.
