Testing predicament!

The test requirements for Pomona are to send the SAT and two Subject tests OR the ACT; well, I took the ACT and did well, and I sent that score in immediately. However, I scored poorly on an SAT II subject test and I accidentally sent it to Pomona. I'm really on edge right now; I want Pomona to focus on my good ACT score, not my poor SAT II score. I felt like I just ruined my chances--or significantly lowered them--by sending in this SAT II score. What should I do? call the college?

What were your scores on both tests?

30 Act, 600 Sat Ii

well aren't SAT IIs required anyways? So theres really no problem right?

I'm sort of in the same situation, except I didn't take the ACT. But I only took two SAT IIs, and I got a 630 on one of them. Except I have to submit both scores, so there's no way to get out of it.

The requirements are the SAT and 2 SAT II's OR the ACT. Any other advice??

I think that what's done is done - you've already submitted the scores. And they're not absurdly horrible. I don't think that a 600 will kill you. If you're a good applicant otherwise, your score will be disregarded.

I'm in a similar but possibly worse situation: I did my math IIC in november and got a 630, so at the last minute, I decided to retake my math IIC along with world history in december. On the test day, world history turned out pretty good, and then I did the math again, and it was horrible. It was so bad that I was almost on the verge of tears, and on an impulse, I rubbed off all my math answers when time was called. So that means BOTH my tests that day were cancelled, and the only SAT II scores that are going to Pomona is my 630 Math IIC. I've just about given all hopes of college. Can't believe I did that to myself! Now my only option seems to be retaking them at te end of Jan, but the scores would only come out mid-february, and that would be too late.....What do I do??!!

apply to colleges that don't require the SAT 2

I'm applying to 7, and my top 3 choices require SAT II's.

Small liberal arts colleges like Pomona care a lot more about you as a human being with passions and flaws and quirks rather than you as a testing robot.
