to ppl that took testmasters...

were u happy with ur score?

did u get ur 300+ improvement?
if not what did u do, was it 800$ down the drain.

bump...bump

what's testmasters?

Mahnsta, Testmasters is a test prep company that people here seem to rave about. I haven’t tried it, though, so I don’t really have anything else to add to this conversation.

Ah, thanks. Hadn't heard of them. I am checking out Princeton Review for the "SAT for Sophomores" class because I have heard they are really good for SAT but it's a new class so I don't know much about it yet. I am definitely one of those people who will do better with a class!! I have some PR books and so far, so good, but every little bit helps. Have you taken a class? Any recs?

I am one of those people who does best studying on their own with prep books, so I haven’t taken any prep classes. However, I am sure that if you posted a thread about what course was the best you would get plenty of answers. However, be warned that some people here are so vehemently anti-prep-class that you may get a few negative comments. Once you ignore those fanatics, you should find that there is lots of helpful advice remaining. Good luck.

Fanatics? :D

Not all people who advocate the use of prep books instead of classes are fanatics. For instance, I know that taking a class would be a huge waste of time and money for me, because I learn best by studying prep books. However, when someone responds to a request for information about test prep classes with something like “PICK UP A BOOK AND STUDY YOU OVERPRIVILIAGED IDIOT” I would tend to classify him or her as a fanatic.

I've seen 300 improvement but never more!

i took princeton review in the summer of 04 and took my SAT in march of 05 (there was a refresher class 3 weeks before the actual test)

although i only got a 208 on my psat, i ended up with a 2200

id recommend PR for sure. just do the hw they give you and you'll be fine.
