Testmasters v. Grammatix

This is the ultimate question: which is the best? I know there are other threads, but give me a definitive answer.

Isn't these two different KIND of books? Testmaster gives you detailed explanation.. grammatix is tricks.

correct me if I'm wrong.

Is he talking about the book you get only with the TestMasters course?

I just bought the grammatix book and took the testmasters course. Both grammatix and testmasters are good in different ways. Grammatix is easier to obtain and is direct and straightforward in its explanations. Just order online. Testmasters is really a course, and the course materials are difficult to obtain unless you take the course...but they are very effective if you can get them. (some people are selling them on ebay, but it gets really expensive.) However, testmasters also recently published a book that is backordered at amazon but has solutions for the big blue book put out by collegeboard ("Official SAT New Study Guide"). Anyways, the testmasters solutions book has many of their different strategies infused, so by going through their solutions, you get another powerful perspective on raising your score on the new SAT. However, you have to buy the College Board Blue Book separately which sucks. But if you have the big blue collegeboard new sat book, order the testmasters book. also you can get the book much faster if you order from their website at testmasters.com. Other books I would recommend are the Rocketreview book and Grubers. I have heard other books are not as effective, but that is based on opinions of others in this forum.

If you want to get a 2400, the only 3 things you need, regardless of what anyone says, are:
CB Blue Book
Testmasters Explanation Book
Grammatix

Harvard, how do the TestMasters Solutions compare to the CB Online Course ones?

I dont have the online course but the Testmaster solutions book is very indepth and very good.

Oh, I thought that you were going to order the Online Course for your brother, because you were asking about the $10 discount, if I recall correctly.

Yeah I was asking about that.
I was just asking about it for him, he may never end up ordering it I dont know. Plus he only started his SAT Studying so he still has 6 tests left in his SAT Blue Book. That was just something I asked in case he runs out.
