I had posted this in the College Admissions section but figured it would be more pertinent here.

Are there are any tests anyone here knows of that one can somehow take after high school, if you are not studying those topics in college, that can show someone else how learned you are in that area? I know some Latin and some Portuguese and am planning to teach myself more as time goes on, but if I do not take any classes in these areas, is there any way that I can somehow show colleges and other institutions that I'm not lying or exaggerating when I claim to know these languages? I'm also wondering about A+ Computer Repair certification and that sort of thing. If anyone can help me out please do.

You're allowed to take AP tests while in college. If you wanted to you could opt to take an AP test in a foreign language and get college credit for it without having to take any class.

I'm strongly considering CLEP tests, although Portuguese is not offered and I don't think Latin is either.

Does anyone know of any of those sort of exams that I could take that don't offer college credit? If I know a subject well enough but don't want to pursue it, tests given by accredited institutions would still be nice, if anyone knows of any.
