I applied to Texas A and M on sept. 20th 2016 for engineering. On December I got an e mail from them saying that my decision was deferred to mid January. My question is, if we received the deferred mail, then that means my chances in getting into A and M is low?

My D (OOS) got the same deferred email and she has Ivy level stats. I doubt it means anything beyond they didn’t get to your app before they went on break for the Holiday. She applied on Oct 14th or so.
