Texas A&M chances with low class rank

I submit my application a couple days ago, as it opened July 1st. My class rank is not the best but it is still top 50%. I am graduating from one of the most competitive high schools in Texas. I have a composite ACT score of 33. Will that make up for my
class rank? What are my
chances?

Also my Gpa is 3.33 unweighted which isn’t too good either. My SAT is 1260 which i don’t plan on sending in

@madlewiss A&M does not take into consideration the competitiveness of your school nor your GPA. They only use your GPA along with the school profile from the school, if your school does not rank.
Class rank and scores are 50% of admission criteria.

With your class rank and SAT, A&M would be a reach. With your ACT being very good and with you rank out of the top quarter and closer to the top half, full admission still may be a reach. Blinn Team or Gateway though, may be a possibility.

Again, your scores are only 50% of the criteria, so be sure to do everything that is deemed optional, to be as competitive a candidate as possible. Be prepared for a long wait. While some do receive admissions notification earlier, most review applicants are notified in February.

Good Luck.

Gateway sounds perfect. What chances do you know would I have to receive gateway?

@madlewiss There is really no way to tell you what your chances to being offered admission to Gateway or Blinn Team would be. There is so much to an applicants application file that folks on this board are not privy to and have no way to make an educated guess. You could go look at class of 2021 review admit admissions results on this forum,around the middle of Feb and see how similar applicants stacked up.

What major are you applying for?
