My daughter will be applying to Texas A&M next week. Any insight on her chances of getting in? Her test scores aren’t high enough for out-of-state automatic enrollment. She has a 3.96 unweighted GPA/ 4.26 weighted. Class rank of 3/250. ACT of 27 and SAT of 550 R/690 Math. She’s retaking ACT again soon but with the rolling admissions, I’m thinking we shouldn’t wait for the test scores to come back before applying since several people have said to apply asap. She also has participated in two varsity sports each year, volunteers, etc. Thanks!
what field of study is she applying to ? engineering is the major that gets filled up the fastest. if she’s not engineering, she should be able to get in just fine, maybe even with a nice merit scholarship. if she’s taking the ACT next week, she should get her scores back with plenty of time to send them and apply. however, if she’s taking it any later or if you don’ t want to wait, just apply now and send the test scores later. good luck!
She’s looking at Biomedical Science. And yes, she is taking ACT next week. That is a thought, send in application and wait on scores.
