Texas A&M chem Engineering

Ok so I’m currently a junior in HS in Houston Texas. I’m applying in the fall to Texas A&M for chemical engineering, and was wondering what y’all think my chances are.
My Stats (as of now) are:

3.3 UW GPA
4.7 weighted GPA
34 ACT
Three years varsity golf
Passed 7 AP tests
Both parents went to A&M, and my dad is on advisory board for Industrial Engineering (Not sure if this helps at all)

I’m also applying to University of Oklahoma, Cal Poly, University of Colorado boulder and Auburn, if you know anything about them as well

Auburn, OU, and probably CU Boulder are safeties for you.

I predict that you will get admitted to all five.

I am an Auburn alum, and can say that you would be very welcomed there. Auburn has lots of out of state students, and most are from the South.

It is possible that you would experience culture shock at either Cal Poly or at Colorado-Boulder. Yet, I hear that both have beautiful campus settings. I definitely recommend visiting those two before deciding to attend either one. Certainly it is fine to apply before visiting. Just don’t commit before visiting.

You’re guaranteed admission since you’re in state and also because of a 30+ on the ACT. I do believe you will get into A&M for sure (I was accepted there too)

Do you know If I would have a shot at UT Austin also?
