Does Texas A&M have a good computer science program? I know their computer engineering program is good, but what about their cs program? I couldn't find it on usnwr, but I know it's not the end all indicator.

I am confused about this too. A&m offers computer engineering and computer science majors. I thought they only offered a minor but looking at there website it shows they offer it as a major. I didn’t remember seeing it when selecting my preferred major on apply Texas. So… Can someone explain to me the difference between the Computer Engineering (Computer Science Track) vs just Computer Science? I want to work more with software than hardware but CE goes over CS too?
Also, what type of could I get with CE degree vs CS degree?
I have been admitted, and I’m planning to visit campus soon. I guess I need to make an appointment with someone in engineering apartment to talk about this?

There is yet a third option at TAMU, that is often included in Computer Science at other universities: Visualization: <a href=“Visualization - Texas A&M University School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts”>Visualization - Texas A&M University School of Performance, Visualization & Fine Arts. The TAMU Visualization degree focuses on computer animation, graphics, and animation and is for students interested in careers at companies like Pixar, Dreamworks, or Industrial Light and Magic. This is one of the top programs in the U.S.
