My dream school is Texas A&M University, here is some background info about me!! Please comment what you think my chances are of getting in!

-3.6-3.7 GPA
-Last time i checked i was about top 15%
-SAT 1550 CR:510 Writing:420 (i'm horrible at grammar and english) Math: 620 (I love math, it's my strong subject)
-50+ community service hours
-Taken 2 English college classes (i got B's in these) and one AP and other advanced classes like Pre-AP
-3 years of Varsity Basketball
-Earned the Academic All District award this past year in varsity basketball
-played volleyball and track
-All A's in high school classes
-Have had a job as a lifeguard for almost two years now
-Worked at an Italian Restaurant for 1 year also on top of lifeguarding

CHANCE ME!! :)

Retake the SAT (hopefully 1800+) and you’ll be a shoo-in :)

Low reach.

I do believe the writing score will hurt you because your CR score is bottom 25% as well. I would tell you to really study the CR and W and take it again at least once. Your math score is there so don’t worry about that, I believe they will superscore your math if for sone reason it decreases. Try to raise the CR by at least 50 points and the W by at least 100.

Why are you graduating early? You could be much better prepared for college with another year of high school.

Your SAT score is not competitive for TAMU. To be a “shoo in” you’d need 1300 on SAT M+ CR (with at least 600 in each section).

Thanks, I’m thinking about retaking it. I’m just worried my math score will not be as high, and i’m not going to A&M for English. I want to be an orthodontist and I already have my English college courses out of the way, so i’ll be focused solely on my math courses. About the superscoring of my current math score… does that mean they will over look my score if I retake and it is lower?
