Texas A&M Northside vs. Southside

I just got accepted into A&M! Now the next step is my dorm... I'm planning on rooming with a friend and our first choice is the New Northside dorms. Since she has a serious boyfriend (and probably will be spending a lot of time with him) I'm worried that I'll be lonely. Someone has suggested that I choose suite style rooms because it's easy to meet people, but the nicer ones are on the southside and I've heard the north is better. Since I plan on rushing, I'd like to be around other girls who are going to be in sororitites too. Help me decide!!!
