I am going to enroll into Texas A&M in the fall and I wanted to know if there was any way for me to find out how many classes I take a semester. I was told a university gives 4 a semester but then I heard others say Texas A&M does 6 classes a semester. I can’t find It anywhere on the internet. Please help!
Texas A&M requires 120 credits to graduate (though some majors require more), and courses may vary in number of credits. That implies averaging at least 15 credits per semester (more if your major requires more than 120 credits).
Ask in the Texas A&M subforum. http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/texas-m-university/
The first question is: How many credits are a typical class? Is it 4 or 3? Some colleges have 4 credits per class and some have 3. If 4, then you should take about 4 4-credit classes. If 3, then about 5.
Also look at the curriculum for your major. I picked Biology:
http://catalog.tamu.edu/undergraduate/science/biology/bs/bs.pdf
it shows science with lab classes being 4 credits and non lab classes being 3.
So depending on your major is is 4 or 5.
