Texas A&M satellite campuses

Looking for some insight into Texas A&M satellite schools. Would have to spend a year at one before going to onto to A&M main campus. Which are the best in your opinion and provide the best ease of transition to A&M?

Are you talking about PSA? If so, they’re ‘system’ schools, not ‘satellite’…big difference.
Limited majors, not all campuses are offered, major can’t be changed once you get to A&M (if you fulfill requirements)…
PSA is considered a ‘soft rejection’ by most, but some view it as a blessing.
None offer transition to A&M, they’re not affiliated with anything in College Starion.
Be sure you study the website & requirements carefully-

Thank you for sharing that link, @52AG82. I had no idea that there were majors that were ineligible. For instance, if someone wants to be a bio major? Not an option. An elementary or secondary education major? Only if you’re willing to do grades 4-8 for science or social studies. The only engineering options are nuclear and ocean engineering (unless one wants to do engineering technology, industrial distribution, or technology management which are in the engineering school). And computer science is certainly nowhere to be found, nor is any major in the business school.

This is definitely an option where one would need to look very carefully at the language before selecting it.

@AustenNut definitely no pathway to Business, and like you listed, limited Engineering majors.
It’s a good deal…IF a major you’re okay with is offered and student meets the requirements to transfer to College Station.
Not all campuses are offered to every student, either. Many limitations. Some enjoy Corpus Christi A&M so much, they stay and graduate from there.
Definitely viewed as a ‘soft rejection’, way more so than getting CAP at UTexas, but very similar scenarios.
